Pop alternative producer and songwriter Cherry Cherry Book Boom (Martin Kierszenbaum) has recently released the official video for his first solo track and single, “Come Back to San Francisco.” The song is a cover off Magnetic Fields’ acclaimed 1999 album, 69 Love Songs, which is one of Martin’s favorites.
“I just felt an urge to record one of my favorite Stephin Merrit songs,” says Martin, who recorded the track on a whim in one weekend.
Martin, who is the head of Cherrytree Records, the pioneering pop alternative label distributed through Interscope, has co-written and produced for the likes of Far East Movement, Lady Gaga, Robyn, and Natalia Kills. He’s also the co-writer of T.A.T.U.’s #1 UK hit “All The Things She Said.”
