I know, it should be completely expected that Lady Gaga‘s wardrobe on and off the “white carpet” at the MTV VMAs would be…. different. But not really. Because it’s not different for her. I think the only shocking wardrobe choice would be something that looked relatively, dare I say… normal?
So, since what is normal for Lady Gaga, and what is normal for most others are relative and completely different- I guess we have to look at her wardrobe choices as how they measure up to Lady Gaga standards.

As I said, I wasn’t shocked. If I had to choose my favorite of the night it would be the Alexander McQueen dress she wore on the red white carpet as she arrived. From there, she went to a black ensemble and then to the “meat dress” accompanied by her “meat purse” that she asked Cher to hold while she busted out into song after announcing the name of her new album (Born This Way).
Personally, I found that to be full of awesome for a number of reasons.
I also had a few questions… How on earth does she walk in those shoes? Beyond that… How on earth did she not fall flat on her face walking in those shoes? And then of course- How did she manage all those wardrobe changes (while wearing those shoes).
Either way, she stole the show winning 8 moon men. I think it could’ve been called LGAs (Lady Gaga Awards) actually. Looks like “little monsters” trump “Bieber fever.”
