I say the latter.
Leonardo DiCaprio is in my opinion one of the most talented actors of our era. In a few years (well maybe 10), I’d even consider calling him legendddddary. If you don’t agree, just look at his track record. If you can’t think of 5 Leonardo DiCaprio movies or projects, you need to refresh your memory with IMDB. Pronto. Although he has had more than a few notable roles, DiCaprio has not received anything more than a pat on the back for his various performances. I mean COME ON…What’s Eating Gilbert Grape wasn’t good enough for a hottie award? And that hair do’ on Growing Pains? Pahhhlease. That hair was the start of something good, dahlings.
But, possibly his next flick, Shutter Island, could be that flick that boosts his career even further and his hair is pretty freakin’ sweet in this pic too.
One fabulous thing about DiCaprio is his intensity, his ability to look cute despite his non-cuteness. I mean seriously. Leonardo is not hot, cute or even slightly good looking. He’s skinny, has a receding hairline and has eyes the size of dimes. But, there is just something about the A-lister that is sexy. Perhaps it is his acting skills? His ability to make standing at the head of a ship with his arms out like a freakin’ tool that makes him appealing? Hell if I know. But what I can tell you is that the man is successful and a wanted man when it comes to Martin Scorcese. AND…he knows how to hand out the cash to those in need.
About Shutter Island: In 1954, two duly-appointed U.S. marshals investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane on an island in Massachusetts. They run into trouble when they are deceived by the hospital’s chief administrator, a hurricane hits, and an inmate riot traps them on the island.
