Holy crapola. I had to sit down for a hot minute to digest this information. Apparently Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst is making a come back with his band. Now I heard that before, however, there IS worse news…Fred is planning a collaboration with Neil Diamond. Yeah, Neil Freakin’ Diamond! I’m not sure if Neil is in his right mind…maybe he thought Fred was Garth Brooks or Liza Manelli? Just a thought…
Well, I’ll tell you one thing…Twitter is to blame for this union because the unlikely duo met using the popular networking site. Ummm, wait a minute…Neil knows how to use a computer? I thought Neil was like 299484858 years old and computers were way before his time? I’m confused. I know Neil is a smart man, but computers? Isn’t that risky for a man with his state of mind?
Anygeriatric, here’s how it went down Twitter-style. Well, what happened was Durst reached out to Neil tweeting, “I am a huge fan of yours. We should do a collaboration – Neil Diamond meets my band Limp Bizkit. Sounds fresh.” A little stalkerish or desperate, but hey, what does Fred have to lose?
Magically and geriatrically speaking Neil said, “I’d love to, where and when??.”
Durst pretty much peed his pants when he received the response saying, “FANTASTIC!!!!! Incredible!! What a dream come true thanks to Twitter!! I’m in LA. Follow me and we can direct message.?”
