[picappgallerysingle id="9296240"]Lindsay Lohan probation hearing underway, possible jail time
Lindsay Lohan‘s probation violation hearing is today, and per usual, it is drama drama drama. The hearing began earlier today as Prosecutor Danette Meyers informed the Judge that she has several witnesses ready to testify that they saw Lindsay drinking at the MTV Movie Awards after party, when her SCRAM bracelet showed a positive reading for alcohol.
What would this mean for LiLo? According to Meyers, if Lindsay was indeed drinking it would be a probation violation- which could mean jail time for Lindsay. At this point, would that be a bad idea?
Meyers went on to suggest that Lindsay’s SCRAM device had not been tampered with (as Lindsay claimed), but in the end Judge Marsha Revel ruled not to allow the prosecutor to present evidence that Lindsay was drinking after the MTV Movie Awards. The judge did suggest, however, that LiLo may be in denial about drinking- a fact will come into play as the hearing continues.
At this point, I’m not sure what it is going to take to help Lindsay get cleaned up and back on the right track, but a detox/rehab program of some sort definitely wouldn’t hurt.
Michael “father of the century” Lohan showed up and requested to speak to the court but was denied, though he was offered the option of submitting a written letter.
Oh, and if the drama of a day in court weren’t enough for LiLo, she was also served with papers in connection with a civil lawsuit filed against her by an LA clothing boutique, Tough As Nails.
The nitty gritty of the hearing is underway, and if Lindsay is found in violation, she could be taken straight to jail. As in do not pass go, do not collect $200.
