Lindsay Lohan innocent?
Things aren’t looking good for the prosecution in the Lindsay Lohan theft case- you know, the current Lilo courtroom showdown that may just end in Linds going to jail for another whopping 16 days or so? Yea, that one. In just a few days the tables have turned, and reports that the jewelry store, Kamofie & Co., has cashed in on the Lilo surveillance tape.
Lindsay’s whole defense was that the jewelry store loaned her the necklace. Now that the store has reportedly made more than $35,000 from the sale of the tape, credibility is making a bit of a shift. Great if you’re Lindsay, not so great if you’ve been busting your bum trying to prosecute Lindsay.
A source told RadarOnline, “The tape was sold in the U.S. and abroad. The jewelry store wanted a bidding war to maximize profits. They chopped up the sale to different outlets to make as much money as possible.”
In an even bigger WTF twist, another source close to the situation told RadarOnline: “The jewelry store owner’s lawyer was contacting Shawn Holley and trying to obtain HER copy of the video, and also wanted Shawn not [to] show the tape to anyone.”
The source went on to say that the “only reason they were contacting Shawn was so they would be assured the video could be sold for more money, and securing a lucrative financial gain for the jewelry store owner.”
So, WDYT…. was the whole “stolen necklace” thing just an elaborate way of scoring cash or did Lindsay really steal it?
