Lindsay Lohan sued
It seems like Lindsay Lohan just can’t seem to catch a break these days.
According to a lawsuit recently filed against LiLo she “concocted a diabolical, fraudulent plan to defraud an L.A. boutique out of thousands of dollars.”
Hmm. Somehow I feel like the wording is off- what it should say is that she knowingly lied because she wanted to get stuff without paying for it. I’ll buy that. Or maybe, she thought she would pay it, but decided she’d rather buy cocaine breath mints instead.
TMZ obtained a copy of the suit, in which a boutique that sells expensive clothes, jewelry, and accessories claims Lindsay shopped at the store sometime between November 2009 and February 2010.
Apparently LiLo managed to rack up a 17,060.83 bill and convinced the owners her business manager would pay the bill. As it turns out the “business manager” paid a whopping $180 towards the balance. A balance that the boutique says Lindsay had no intention of ever paying.
The best part, and perhaps the funniest part about this whole thing, is that the boutique claims that they relied on Lindsay’s “well known status as a movie actress with substantial income.” Hmm, maybe LiLo should counter sue on the grounds that the boutique owners are living in a fantasy world.
For whatever reason the suit seeks a payment of $16,880.63 plus interest and punitive damages. I’m no math whiz but it appears that there is a $.20 difference. Not sure what happened there, all I know is that it pretty much sucks to be LiLo.
As if the suit itself wasn’t juicy enough, TMZ is now reporting that most of the high end items LiLo “bought” at the boutique were shoes, clothing and accessories made from exotic animals … like ostriches, snakes, and cows. Yikes! Guess that means a photo shoot with PETA isn’t in her future…
