So much for Papa Lohan thinking that him and Lindsay are new found BFF’s. Now even though Papa may be making sense by being genuinely concerned about his daughter’s best interest or at least trying to, LiLo wants nothing of it. In fact, RadarOnline.com is reporting that Lindsay Lohan is set to file a restraining order against Papa Lohan. Ouch!
And apparently, the filing is going to happen within the next two days.
Sources are saying that Lindsay fears for her safety from her estranged father. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley Chapman, has begun the paperwork on behalf of her client and the filing should be ready in the next 48-hours.
Sources close to the actress tell us Lindsay took this action based on statements Michael has made stating he was considering kidnapping his daughter and discussing her legal situation with the judge in her case.
In court Friday Lindsay Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, requested an extra year for Lindsay to complete her alcohol awareness program, due to her work commitments, which the judge granted, but sternly warned that Lindsay has to make the program her “priority” and that if she hears she is avoiding it she will be dragged back into court.
After hearing of the news that LiLo got off easy with just a year of probation, Michael apparently contacted the judge telling her that she should have put LiLo in rehab! And if it is true that she has a prescription pill problem she should be in rehab!
So what did Michael say when he heard about the possible restraining order against him? He says, “Dina is the one that told her to get a restraining order. But you know what? I‘m still going to try to do everything with the courts to try and get Lindsay better.”
We hope that Papa Lohan is doing the right thing for the right reasons. So, maybe Papa Lohan isn’t a douche after all?
