Lisa Ling miscarriage
How effing sad is this?! People magazine is reporting that Lisa Ling and her husband Paul Song suffered a miscarriage six months ago. She revealed the tragic news to her former colleagues on The View (which airs December 10th, 2010), so in case you plan on watching, you’re going to want to dig out the hankies.
So how long did she carry the baby before she lost it and how is she coping now?
While she and her hubby Paul Song hadn’t been trying to have a baby for very long, once she became pregnant she was elated with joy. But it was almost two months later that her doctor told her that their baby’s heart wasn’t beating.
About losing her baby, Ling said, “I felt more like a failure than I’d felt in a very long time.” She adds, “I don’t know that I took it as seriously as I should have because it happened so fast. But then when I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart.”
So sad! Our thoughts go out to Lisa and her hubby!
Even though she is still struggling with the devastating loss, Ling created a website that she finds solice in. (NOTE: And she should be pretty damn happy to have landed her very own show on Oprah’s brand spankin’ new network!)
