Meet Mohombi Part 2
The multi-talented musician and dancer Mohombi is set to release his debut album Movemeant early next year, as the first artist signed to producer RedOne‘s label 2101 Records. So, what’s it like to be the first artist signed to a producer that has worked with artists like Lady Gaga and Usher? Mohombi recently released a 2 part videos titled, “Meet Mohombi“, where he dishes on his experience with RedOne and the themes of his upcoming album- which will feature singles like “Bumpy Ride” and “Miss Me (feat. Nelly).”

When you boast both African and Scandinavian roots like Mohombi, you’re regularly exposed to a variety of musical influences. And in 2008, fellow semi-Swede, producer RedOne discovered Mohombi in LA, where the two connected over their love for pop music and over arching worldwide awareness.
Now? Well, now Mohombi is the first musician RedOne has signed to his new label, and even more impressive, Movemeant features guest spots from both Nelly and Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger.
“For me, it was like opening another door, but this time it was THE door,” says Mohombi.
