Michael Franti & Spearhead, “Hey, Hey, Hey”
Last week, Michael Franti & Spearhead premiered their new video for their third single, “Hey, Hey, Hey.” The single is, of course, featured on their latest album, The Sound of Sunshine, and it features Franti’s signature reggae-pop sound that can be heard throughout the album. Franti’s new album carries an uplifting message of overcoming obstacles, and for the video, Michael took to the streets in different cities to sing and talk to people about their daily lives. Since “Hey, Hey, Hey” is about overcoming adversity and appreciating every second that we have on this earth, Michael’s “research” helped shape the video so that it’s centered around the lives of everyday people experiencing rough times and shows how they lean on each other for support.
And to celebrate the video’s premiere, Michael want’s to hear from fans. He wants to know how ya’ll are all holding on during these challenging times and how you’ve been able to overcome any and all obstacles in your life.
