Nanzanin Boniadi, Tom Cruise’s girlfriend before Katie Holmes, almost became Tom Cruise’s wife or at least that is supposedly what was in the plans.
We never did really hear how Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes met so it wouldn’t really surprise me if she “auditioned” for the part of Tommy’s real life wife.
An upcoming Vanity Fair cover story reports that the Church of Scientology was all about looking for the perfect wife for Mr. Cruise and with that came auditions and for actress Boniadi, she could have been the woman with the spotlight on her…instead of Katie.
Boniadi was born in Tehran and raised in London and studied biology at UC Irvine. Even though she had the brains to do whatever it is the hell she wanted, she decided to go on to itty bitty roles in television shows including General Hospital and How I Met Your Mother.
Nanzani, referred to as the Persian Audrey Hepburn, was certainly into Scientology and recently shared her experience with the Church to Vanity Fair saying that she had auditioned to be Cruise’s wife back in 2004.
So why did she not get “the part”? Well she decided that she didn’t want to to engage in PDA’s with the couch jumper! And because of her refusal she was told that Cruise didn’t want to see her anymore and according to the story, Boniadi was punished by means of cleaning toilets with a toothbrush at the church headquarters in Florida. DANG!
At least she wasn’t forced into eating placenta stew on the freakin’ daily! I can’t even imagine. Good for Nanzani Boniadi for escaping the life of couch jumping and Stepfordwifeology!
