Don’t call Naomi Campbell a Supermodel!

Naomi Campbell is in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar and she is looking fierce and fabulous per usual. What isn’t usual for Campbell is her modesty. Perhaps it is the fact that she is reaching her 40′s that she has tamed down her ‘tude.

In the March issue of Bazaar, Campbell talks about being a veteran of the fashion industry, her diet and her past.

Check out the highlights below.

ON HER DIET:

“For me, carbs are a treat now.”

ON PLASTIC SURGERY AND AGING:

It’s fine “for those who do it for themselves and not to please someone else. I don’t worry about a number, I’m fine with aging.”

ON HER PAST:

“Look, you have to make mistakes. That’s how you learn and that’s how the world works. I’ve made a few. What makes a person is the ability to look at themselves and deal with their own lives. How you deal [with your actions] is what defines you.”

ON BEING CALLED A SUPERMODEL:

“…I would never call myself that. I don’t have any superhuman powers. I still love what I do. It’s a new challenge to see how people can change your look. I like words like transformation, reinvention, and chameleon. Because one word I don’t like is predictable.”

So does this mean her phone throwing days are over?
