Red, white, and…
BROKE!
Maybe Nas wasn’t lying when he told ex-wife Kelis that he was broke. According to reports, the east coast rapper has just had his Georgia house foreclosed on. The $585,000, with square footage around 3,500, features two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a large backyard, was bought in 2004. And when I say bought, I mean that loosely, since Nas still owed $507,000 in payments. Maybe he should go ask Kelis for a loan?
Rack City rapper Tyga may have to return to the ghetto, if any of the recent reports are to be believed. It seems his one-year lease is far from over, but that has not stopped Tyga from stopping payment of $16,000 a month. It also has not stopped his landlord from filing a lawsuit against the rapper to get the rest of his money. It might be time to move back to Section 8!
And lest you think that all rappers are poor, I have good news for the hip hop community. Some of those checks don’t bounce!
Birdman just put down a stackload of cash – $14.5 million to be exact – on a new house on Palm Island in Florida. The Miami mansion boasts nine bedrooms (1 for each child?), 17 bathrooms, 25-foot ceilings, underground pool, outdoor pool, theater, gym, spa, massage room, and alot of other sh*t I refuse to type here because it is ridiculous that people need 17 bathrooms when one bathroom and a backyard filled with bushes will suffice.
But, I digress.
And in a strange twist, the house was formerly owned by rapper Scott Storch, who we all know is mega-broke now and about to get even more broke.
Be sure to check back here in about a year or two when I will have to report that this house has been repossessed AGAIN by another rapper.
