Never heard of The Dream until now? Well, he can thank divalicious Mariah Carey for officially making his name known. For you music buffs out there, you may know The Dream as Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Terius Youngdell Nash. Dream has written for many A-list musicians including most notably J. Holiday’s “Bed”, Usher’s “Moving Mountains”, Yung Joc’s “Coffee Shop” and Jesse McCartney’s “Leavin”. He also co-wrote Mariah Carey‘s “Touch My Body”, Ciara‘s “High Price”, along with over 20 songs from her album Fantasy Ride, and took part in co-writing a majority of Mary J. Blige’s 2007 Growing Pains album, including the smash hit “Just Fine”. AND, he wrote Rihanna‘s Grammy-nominated “Umbrella”. So, blame him Dream for getting that “ella ella ella” shiznit stuck in your head for days.
As you can see, Dream isn’t just some geek off the street! And now, he’s trying to make his mark as a singer.
Listen to The Dream Ft. Mariah with his new track called “My Love”, which will be featured on his album “Love vs. Money” to be released on February 17.
After listening to it, what do ya think?
