Talk show host Bethenny Frankel chats with actress Olivia Munn (“Magic Mike”) on Tuesday, July 3rd. Olivia tells Bethenny what it was like shooting sex scenes with her Co-star Channing Tatum and how Co-star Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila had their own rehearsal process. Plus, Olivia chats about getting her new role on HBO’s “Newsroom” and shows off her very own pole dancing moves!
ON SEX SCENES WITH CHANNING TATUM:
Bethenny: You did love scenes with him, so was that weird for you? Cause it’s your friend?
Olivia: No because they’re such a strong couple already and I love Channing…
Bethenny: How was the sex with him?
Olivia: I would say good to quite good. We kind of like became kids. We had this shower scene that you don’t get to see but um…
Bethenny: That was in your apartment in real life (joking).
Olivia: That’s why we call it “rehearsal.” We have like, you know, we have our little parts covered…ish. And we get up and we’re just kind of joking and improving and we just go “cheers” (bump their groin area together). “Cheers!”
Bethenny: So it wasn’t awkward.
Olivia: No, just to make it more fun.
ON CO-STAR MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY AND WIFE CAMILA:
Bethenny: Matthew McConaughey was unbelievable in the movie. And, he just got married. And was his wife around when they were rehearsing? Did she have anything to do with any of this?
Olivia: By the way, you have to see this movie because he has this dance that, right? You see parts of him that he can’t even see himself. We get to see everything. But, it was so cute because um, on-set, all these guys rehearse theirstuff for a long time. And everyone is there to support each other. But, I see Camila there and a she’s [Matthew] doing his dance routine, she’s like this (Olivia stands up and reenacts Camila dancing). I look at her. She’s like, and we’ve been practicing every night. It’s like “Toddlers and Tiaras” but for [Camila and Matthew]…
Bethenny: I love it.
ON GETTING HER ROLE ON HBO’S NEWSROOM:
Bethenny: Are you enjoying it?
Olivia: It’s the dream I never thought I was allowed to dream. Honestly, I was offered othershows and I turned everything down just for the hope of auditioning for this show.
Bethenny: Wow.
Olivia: Not even having an audition. And, I mean it wasn’t that long ago when I was thinking uh, if I could get that Ross Dress for Less commercial. That would be amazing. So the fact that I was turning down stuff just to hopefully get something…So doing this is amazing.
Bethenny: That will blow your mind. Life changing in a short period of time…
