Penelope Cruz may have been throwing us all for a loop lately with those baby bump rumors and in the most recent issue of Vanity Fair, well…Cruz doesn’t say a peep about those rumors. But, she does get looking glamorously fabulous for the cover and dishes on who she thought was a better smoocher…Charlize Theron or Scarlett Johansson and her life growing up in Alcobendas, Spain. Check out part of the interview below.
This month, Cruz has two films being released so that’s landed her the cover spot on Vanity Fair. One film is European, while the other is American: Pedro Almodóvar’s Broken Embraces and Rob Marshall’s Nine will surely garner the attention of many as she comes off an Oscar win (she won last year for Vicky Cristina Barcelona).
On growing up in Alcobendas, Spain and hanging out at a salon, Cruz says, “It was my first acting school. I would pretend to be doing my homework, but I was really observing the women. I found their behavior mesmerizing — what they were hiding, how they left feeling a little different after they’d been helped to become a little more like whom they wanted to look like. They treated the place a little bit like a psychologist’s office. They would share all their secrets.”
So just who was the better kisser? Charlize or Scarlett? Cruz says, “No matter how I answer that I will be in trouble. Both were pretty beautiful partners.”
Ok, so what did she say about her boyfriend Javier Bardem? Penélope replied, “Not going there.”
Penelope, that was kind of a very lame and unfortunate interview.
