Beyonce has been named as PEOPLE Magazine’s world’s most beautiful woman, announced earlier this morning. PEOPLE announced her as the top beauty on their annual list early this morning.
The magazine’s senior editor Alexis Chiu told TODAY’s Matt Lauer and Ann Curry that Beyonce is ”flawless, she’s gorgeous, she’s at the top of her game career-wise, she’s this music icon at 30 years old and on top of it she has this glow going on … She’s a new mom.” This is the ninth time that the singer has graced the list.
In an interview with the magazine, Bey gushed over being a new mommy to 4 month old Blue Ivy. She told PEOPLE,
I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth. The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy. The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”
Also included among the mag’s “most beautiful” are Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Obama, Jennifer Hudson, Kristen Wiig, and Selena Gomez. The new issue, which features an exclusive interview with Bey sharing beauty secrets, how she got rid of that baby weight, and clearing up all of the rumors, will hit the newsstands this Friday, April 27.
I’m so happy for her! Not just for winning the title, but because Beyoncé is really in a good place. She has a gorgeous new baby girl, and is coming back on the music scene with her performance at the Revel Atlantic City on Memorial Day Weekend (and possibly a rumored world tour later in the year!). It’s great as a fan to see her happy! Congrats on the win Bey!
