This year was a decent year for Sandra Bullock as she returned to the big screen, but apparently the movie theaters owners nationwide are thinking that Sandra is the freakin’ cat’s meow.
Quigley Publishing has named Sandra Bullock 2009′s top star. What a great comeback! Apparently, Bullock’s roles in “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side made her the top choice by theater owners. For your information, “The Proposal” made $315 million at worldwide box offices following its June release. Damn, right? And “The Blind Side”? Well hold on to your popcorn, since its November 20th release, the flick has made $193 million only in the U.S. and Canada. Not too bad, especially considering a woman hasn’t topped the list since Julia Roberts did back in 1999.
So how exactly does Quigley choose their list? Well Quigley Publishing is saying that “the list does not rank stars only on how much cash their films made, but on what theater owners say about who attracts audiences on their star power alone.”
