“It’s something that could happen to anyone – going to the hospital and having a bad experience and then being on a 5150 (involuntary psychiatric hold) – it happens to more people than you’d know. It’s a common thing. I didn’t know that when I went to the hospital, if they saw you were feeling bad they could just hold you like that, but it’s an American thing, I suppose. If you say that you’re depressed, they hold you for your own good. I was shocked it went so far.”
