No, for real.
It isn’t easy being an overnight celebrity, especially if you were made famous because of lack of talent. Just ask Rebecca Black. You know, the ‘Friday’ girl. She knows all too well that becoming an overnight sensation pretty much sucks, outside of the money and public appearances.
Unfortunately for Black, she’s experiencing the evil side of fame. In fact, it’s gotten so damn bad that she has been placed under police protection!
Sure, she has been dubbed the worst singer in the world and she’s been heckled for her ridiculous auto-tuned video. But, come on people, death threats are a bit too much.
California Police spokesman Rick Martinez said, “One of the threats came over the phone and another emailed. The threats were related to getting the music off the Internet or they would kill her. We are taking the threats very seriously. Officers are keeping a watchful eye on her during this on-going investigation.”
So you can imagine that Becky is scared shitless.
Last month on GMA Black revealed that, “[The worst thing I've read was] I hope you cut yourself and I hope you get an eating disorder so you’ll look pretty, and I hope you go cut and die. When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn’t have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don’t feel that way.”
