Brandy has snagged her man! According to reports, the singer recently got engaged to her music exec boyfriend Ryan Press.
Apparently it was something that Brandy wasn’t exactly surprised by. Back in August in an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, she said, “I keep hearing about a ring. People keep calling me, hinting to me about it, but I don’t know…I’m going to be patient and let it happen and just let it be.”
This will be the first marriage for the singer, although she previously claimed she was married to Robert Smith, the father of her child Sy’Rai. She lied about the marriage in order to keep her squeaky clean image, afraid that the public would judge her for having a child out of wedlock. In 2008, she confessed that the couple never were really married.
She is definitely happy with Ryan though. This woman has been looking for love for a while, and I’m glad she’s found it! Brandy hasn’t formally said anything about the engagement, but, if it’s true, congrats to her and Ryan!
