Rod Stewart has pretty much conquered the music scene and now the guy is about to set sail. Yes…on a boat and a big one at that. Titanic was one of the biggest tragedy in history and it will be 100 years in April since that fateful day. And Rod has decided he is going to embark on a special voyage to the very spot that the Titanic went under.
Details below.
Rod explains, “I would very much like to be on these ships that are going to be doing the Titanic run. Amazing that next April, it’s 100 years. I’m just in the middle of choosing which one I’d like to do. One ship is going from Southampton to New York and staying on the exact route going over where the Titanic went down and the other one is going from New York out to Halifax, where the ship sunk, and back again.”
Apparently he isn’t scurred that his boat will sink.
Stewart added, “Is it tempting fate? No, things have moved on since 1912. None of the icebergs come down that far south any more, and if they did, they’d blow them up.”
Unfortunately he will be going alone on the trip because his woman Penny would be blowing chunks. He says, “I can’t get my wife to go because she suffers from seasickness on the Atlantic – she prefers a nice Caribbean cruise. So, I might just go on my own.”
We expect to see photos of Rod on the bow of the boat recreating the “I’m-the-king-of-the-world” pose in a pair of Speedos.
