Rosie O’Donnell is lucky to still be alive. Last week Rosie suffered a heart attack and she has credited her survival to quick Internet research and a Bayer aspirin.
Via her blog, O’Donnell said, “Thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally.”
O’Donnell said that she had to have a stent inserted after doctors found that her coronary artery was 99 percent blocked. NINETY NINE!
In a statement on Monday, her rep Cindi Berger tells PEOPLE, “She is now home and resting comfortably. She is very, very lucky.”
Rosie went on to add, “They call this type of heart attack/the Widow Maker/i am lucky to be here,” she wrote.
After helping an enormous woman get out of her car in a parking lot in New York, a few hours later Rosie said that her chest hurt, both of her arms were sore and she became nauseous with clammy skin.
Via her site she wrote, “maybe this is a heart attack. i googled womens heart attack symptoms/i had many of them/but really? – i thought – naaaa.”
Despite hundreds of thousands of women dying each year of heart attacks by not dialing 911, Rosie was “not one of them”. She added, “know the symptoms ladies/listen to the voice inside/the one we all so easily ignore/CALL 911/save urself.”
Good to hear that Rosie is doing okay! How scary!
