Much to everyone’s surprise, Rosie O’Donnell is married…and has been for a few months now!
The couple announced their engagement in December of last year. They exchanged vows on June 9 in a private ceremony in New York, O’Donnell’s rep Cindi Berger said. “They got married but they haven’t had the wedding celebration.”
Rosie moved up her wedding to fianceé Michelle Rounds after Michelle was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a rare disease that only affects three out of every million people.Rosie herself has also had health issues, suffering a heart attack some weeks ago. She said that her problems started on Aug. 14 after she helped a woman struggling to get out of her car in a parking lot in Nyack, N.Y. A few hours later, her chest ached, both arms felt sore as if they were bruised, she became nauseous, and had clammy skin. She Googled heart attack symptoms and noticed that she had many of the signs for an attack.
The two originally planned to be married in August, but they choose to get married quietly in June before Michelle’s first surgery on June 14.
