It’s official. Russell Brand and Katy Perry are headed for divorce. TMZ is reporting that Brand filed the papers in court TODAY citing “irreconcilable differences” and they are in fact dunzo. The proof is in the papers, baby.
Not spending together during the holidays, especially if neither party is working? BOTH not wearing wedding rings in public? Those are both sure signs of trouble, especially in a celebrity marriage peeps. Nine times of ten, if a celebrity ISN’T wearing a ring, it isn’t because “they forgot”. Celebrities KNOW the fame game.
At any rate, Russell released the following statement, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.” Blah, blah, blah. So those rumors of trouble since November were obviously true.

Sad, sad, sad. The bright side is, Katy will definitely have some material to write for a new album? And Russell will have some new comedic material, perhaps? Come on, work with me here people.
The couple married back on October 23rd of 2010 in India and it seemed like for most of the time they were married, Perry was on tour.
I just hope Brand wasn’t just in it for big boobs and a green card.
