Superwoman Salma!
Newly married Salma Hayek is busier than ever keeping her new husband happy, balancing her movie career, volunteering and heading the one-packa-pampers campaign, keeping her baby girl Valentina satisfied AND maintaining her fashionable self. OH…AND you mustn’t forget whipping out her ta-tas when a hungry baby is in dire need of nutrients. Salma does it all! So it should come as no surprise that she was able to squeeze in a photo shoot for the cover of April’s InStyle magazine. Check out some of the fabulous answers Salma gave when InStyle challenged her to some lifestyle and fashion questions.
HER NUMBER ONE BEAUTY TIP:
Never go to sleep without washing your face, no matter how tired you are.
ON THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT MOTHERHOOD:
I don’t know if it’s motherhood that’s surprising or that Valentina is so surprising. I am in awe of her—she’s very magical. I feel so connected to her but at the same time I discover something new about her every day.
ON WHAT SUPERPOWER SHE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE:
The power to make people be kind to each other. Actually, I stole that answer from a friend!
HER FAVORITE COLOR:
I went through my purple phase—maybe a bit too much! I also like reds and blues. Right now, I think it’s midnight blue.
ON THE MOST COLORFUL CHARACTER SHE’S PLAYED:
Frida [Kahlo] for sure. There was a lot of happiness and celebration in that life. Even in her paintings of tragic things there is humor, there’s always color. She was full of life.
ON WHETHER SHE FOLLOWS ANY STYLE RULES:
I follow them not because they’re a rule but because some of them make sense. Like you don’t want to wear white to a wedding. You should let the bride be the one in white.
