Steven Tyler is starting to confuse us. Perhaps he is confusing himself? I pray this isn’t the beginning of dementia for the sixty-one-year old skinny pant wearing rock star. Ok so, at first we heard the disastrous news from fellow Aerosmith member Joe Perry that Tyler was quitting the band. Then Tyler shows up at Perry’s solo gig and says, “I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith. And Joe Perry, you are a man of many colors but I, motherfucker, am the rainbow!” Basically, no I’m not quitting fools.
Now today Perry has different news. Check out what he says about Tyler after the jump.
So is the big-mouthed singer a big fat quitter or is this just some divalicious behavior going on between Joe Perry and Steven Tyler?
In a telephone interview, Joe Perry says, “As it stands, Steven wants to take a couple years off and do some of whatever he wants to do and the rest of the band wants to keep working. The band is a really well-oiled machine and we’re going to work one way or another and I don’t know what form that’s going to take.”
Perhaps Tyler just needs his creaky knees re-oiled?
