Clay Aiken Tried and True album giveaway
He may not have taken home the title of American Idol of season two’s hit reality show, but Clay has had quite the successful musical career as a runner-up. And since his Idol days, he’s still belting out music but this time he’s doing it his way.
For his fifth studio album Tried and True, out in stores now, Clay remakes some of the classics from the 50′s and 60′s that inspired him growing up.
For Aiken, Tried and True (so named because he feels the songs have stood the test of time) was about getting back to himself after a career performing more pop-oriented material. “There are a lot of elements to this album that are about me returning to what I’m comfortable with,” Aiken says. “To me, older songs are more melodically appealing and beautiful. So doing this album was an opportunity to just be myself.”
