The 40th Anniversary Edition of David Bowie‘s groundbreaking album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars is available now, in stores and online (iTunes / Amazon) and Celebrity VIP Lounge has THREE copies to give away to our fab readers.
Originally released through RCA Victor on 6th June 1972, Ziggy Stardust was David Bowie’s fifth album, co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott and recorded at Trident Studios in London.
The Anniversary Edition has been re-mastered by original Trident Studios engineer Ray Staff, and is available on CD and a special, limited edition vinyl. The vinyl features the 2012 remaster and a DVD with high resolution audio and previously unreleased, Ken Scott remixes of Moonage Daydream (instrumental), The Supermen, Velvet Goldmine, and Sweet Head.
Fans have until Friday, June 8th to submit their music video for the track “Ziggy Stardust” to Genero.tv. The winning piece will receive a $4,000 prize and will be showcased on the site. EMI also revealed a new web app at IAmZiggyStardust.com, which allows fans replace Bowie’s face with theirs on the iconic album cover and share with friends via social media.
