Ever since that sexually charged performance on the AMA’s, Adam Lambert has had a bit of a rough go media-wise. But publicity he is not lacking, fo shizzle! Just recently Adam Lambert was on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the controversial surrounding his AMA’s appearance.
It was a night full of not-so-many shocking wins and some interesting performances. Other than Lady GaGa’s extremely odd stage takeover, Adam Lambert was next in line to produce a little bit of shock value and controversy to last night’s American Music Awards. Perhaps those pretty intense photos of Adam Lambert smooching it up and placing his hands on some hot chick’s naked body for a magazine cover shoot got to be too much for Drake LaBry? Well something apparently happened between Lambert and LaBry that has resulted in a big fat breakup. Sad, sad, sad. I’ve already went through a whole box of Kleenex today.
Adam Lambert will be doing his promotional rounds as he gears up for his November album release. This month we get a glimpse into Lambert’s sexuality as he covers Details magazine for the November issue. Well, the cat is outta the bag as Adam Lambert reveals that he is gay, exclusively to Rolling Stone magazine. Ummmm. Surprise!!!
In the next issue of Rolling Stone, the Idol runner-up opens up about his sexuality, his childhood and he takes another jab at Clay Aiken. Read some of the highlights from the interview below.
ON HIS GAYDOM:
I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay. Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler. I didn’t want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullshit. I need to be able to explain myself in context. I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.
ON HIS CHILDHOOD:
I started to realize I wasn’t like every other boy.
WHAT LED HIM TO AMERICAN IDOL:
I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen. I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, bitch!’ “

Adam Lambert, In Response To Clay Aiken’s Personal Attacks About His Singing
So what…he didn’t win Idol, but no worries for Adam Lambert. Ummm, when Queen asks you to front their band…yeah, that’s a pretty high honor. But the question is, would he do it?
According to the AP Adam says, “That’s a tough question because, honestly, how do you say no to being in Queen?” No doubt!
Queen band member Brian May tells Rolling Stone, “Amongst all that furore, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk. But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”
Not only does Lambert have a good opportunity with Queen, but his dream duets could also come true. Adam shares his collaborating dream girls. “Madonna would be amazing — I’d love to work with Madonna — I think she’s a genius. She has great ideas. Lady GaGa is brilliant. She’s got her finger on the pulse. She’s the hot thing right now. Katy Perry’s amazing, absolutely amazing.”
We’re thinking Adam will be just fine. Idol was just what he needed to get recognized.
