Adele Sings For Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes Interview (VIDEOS)

Adele makes an appearance on 60 Minutes Overtime to interview with Anderson Cooper AND she even proves that even after her throat surgery her voice is better than ever.

Plus we get more of a glimpse of her personality and I must say Adele is one I’d love to hang around with on the daily. First of all, she has an amazingly cute little accent AND she likes to cuss!

As for all that talk about her more curvaceous body, she doesn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone thinks. Adele said, “I’ve never seen magazine covers or music videos and been like ‘I need to look like that to be a success.’ I don’t want to be some skinny mini with my tits out. I really don’t want to do it and I don’t want people confusing what it is that I’m about. I just stand there and sing. I don’t do stunts or anything. I’m just writing love songs. I’m not trying to be pop. I’m not trying to be jazz. I’m not trying to be anything. I’m just writing love songs and everyone loves a love song.” Yes, girl. Speak.on.it.

One of the highlights or should I say, THE highlight of the interview is when Adele sings a part of “Rolling In the Deep” a cappella to Anderson Cooper. I hope he realizes how lucky he is. Damn Silver Fox.

To see the full “60 Minutes” interview with Adele tune in on Sunday, Feb. 12 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT on CBS) before the Grammys.

Performances to Watch at the Grammys 2012

This is my favorite time of the year when it comes to television – the award ceremonies. And the 54th Annual Grammy Awards for 2012 will be one of the best ever, especially because one of my favorite performers (Adele) will be performing for the first time since her surgery.

But aside from the everyone’s favorite soulful singer, who else can you catch at the Grammys?

The Beach Boys

Okay, seriously, I think this is cool. I’ve never been a big Beach Boys fan, but being that I’m from California, and a lot of their songs speak to the beach-y-ness of that state, they still hold a warm place in my heart. And they will definitely be performing this year at the Grammys…all. Original. Members.

How cool is that?

Plus, they will be performing with Maroon 5 (starring my crush and yours – Adam Levine) along with Foster the People.

Coolness? I think so.

And that isn’t the only dynamic duo (err…trio) that you can catch at the Grammys…

Coldplay and Rihanna will also be performing together. If I could submit a song request? I’d love to hear Rihanna sing “Yellow” by Coldplay and I’d love to hear Coldplay sing, “We Found Love.”

Anyone else with me on that one?

But these aren’t the only superstars that will be gracing the stage, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing as well.

And if that doesn’t exactly quench your palette, you may like to know that Taylor Swift will be performing as well.

Oh wait…and I’m totally not done yet.

This year the Grammys seem to be all about the performances…because Alicia Keys and Bonnie Rait will also pay tribute to Etta James (and can I just say kudos on the choice for pairing those two singers together?). Not to mention Glen Campbell, who will also be receiving a lifetime achievement award (not a country fan? Just think “Rhinestone Cowboy).

Plus, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj (who I just LOVE…), Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars

And last but not least, there is also another collaboration with Chris Brown, deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta (remember him from American Idol?) and Lil Wayne. Doesn’t that just sound like the music equivalent of pickles and ice cream?

So no matter who you are and what kind of music you are into, you are definitely going to be pleased at some point while watching the show.

Make sure you catch the Grammy Awards this Sunday on CBS at 8 PM ET.

Karl Lagerfeld apologizes to Adele for calling her fat

Karl Lagerfeld has thrown out an apology to Adele for calling her “too fat”. Ironically, Lagerfeld used to be a hefty man himself, so perhaps he hasn’t yet come to terms with his thinness or still feels like a fat man in a skinny body? Who effing knows. All we know is that Karl got a lot of heat for dissing one of the most popular singers on the planet and so now he’s retracting his statement because we all “took it out of context”.

Lagerfeld said, “I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out it changes the meaning of the thought. Adele is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos 10 years ago and know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl.”

See Karl, there’s this little thing called tactfulness. Loosen up your gray ponytail and look it up in the dictionary, dahling.

Karl Lagerfeld Calls Adele “Fat”, Endorses Obama

It’s that time again, ladies and gents, more tongue lashings from Karl Lagerfeld. This time the Kaiser is making Adele his target of choice.

So what did Uncle Karl have to say about our beloved songbird?

Adele’s Throat Surgery a Success

We all know that Adele has been having issues with sickness. What we didn’t know was that she was forced to cancel a ton of tour dates and appearances due to a vocal cord hemorrhage that basically could have ruined her voice and her singing career. So the drastic situation led to drastic measures. Adele traveled to Boston, Massachusetts for an operation that is supposed to stop recurrent bleeding and prevent a possible rupture from a benign polyp.

From what we know, the singer (more…)

Quote of the Day: Adele

“American people think I am posh even though I am really not. They think I have a very British accent, as in: ‘Do you know the Queen? I just laugh at them. In England I am thought of as common as muck. I’d like to know a couple of the royals, though. I’d love a night out with Prince Harry, he seems like a right laugh. I love Kate Middleton, she’s brilliant. And I love William.”

Adele, on her American fans thinking she is “posh” like the British monarch

I’m sure most artists wish they had this problem.

Okay so we revealed a couple weeks back that the beautifully talented Adele has stage fright…like really bad and she had once said that she will never play arenas because she is a fraidy cat when it comes to large crowds.

Well, girlfriend better have a brown paper bag and a Xanax to get her through her upcoming UK tour.

Adele postpones MORE tour dates.

It seems Adele just can’t shake her sicknesses this year. She was supposed to play a couple of shows this weekend at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall but
she was forced to postpone the dates because she is STILL suffering from bronchitis.

Quote of the Day: Adele

“I enjoy being me, I always have done. I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life. It’s just never been an issue – at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities, of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.”

Quote of the Day: Adele

“I never had the aim of being a professional recording artist. The only reason I ended up studying music at the BRIT School was because I knew I was going to fail all my GCSEs, so I panicked. I knew I’d pass all the music and performance stuff, and because of that I thought I’d get work somewhere in the music industry. Getting signed was never an ambition. And the fame thing still feels odd, you know what I mean? Reactions from fans take my breath away.”
