It’s been two years since Anna Nicole Smith’s death from overdose and Howard Stern is getting hit with charges in relation to her death. Now, the legal shiznit begins, my friends!
The prosecution is believing that Stern was responsible for attaining and feeding Anna the pills that eventually led to her death. In addition to Stern being charged, two doctors are also getting slapped with charges for writing out the prescriptions, many of which included bottles written out to fake named individuals in order to protect Smith’s privacy. Hmmmm…
While the defense explains the “fake” names were created for privacy circumstances, the prosecution feels differently.
“These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose,” said California Attorney General Jerry Brown in a statement yesterday.
Prosecutors said the doctors gave thousands of prescription drugs – including opiates and sedatives – to Stern, who then gave them to Smith. Ok, who really needs THOUSANDS of freakin’ pills to live….seriously.
The prescriptions were issued between June 2004 and January 2007, just weeks before her death on Feb. 8, 2007.
Charges include conspiracy, unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance and prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict, authorities said.
It’s been two years already. Can you believe it? And…I still miss that crazy bitch. RIP Anna Banana.
Should these people be punished for being contributors to Anna’s addiction?
