Ashlee Simpson may have lined up herself another jobby job. After being given a swift kick in the booty by Melrose Place, Simpson was left unemployed rumored to be as a result of her poor acting abilities. But, apparently A. Simps hasn’t been moping around (big sistah takes care of that for her) on the job search and may have lined up a gig as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Say, what??!!! Believe it, bitches. Lucky, lucky, lucky ducky! Brooke Shields is no dummy! She knew she needed to have a backup plan…JUST IN CASE…her show Lipstick Jungle went off the air. And, now that she officially received the heave-ho, Brooke has some news of her own…she’s heading to Broadway, bitches!
Brooke is set to star in a one-off production opposite Nathan Lane and Jane Krakowski.
According to a source, Shields will be heading back to work with a part in a one-night-only revival of 1930s-inspired musical Pal Joey. The performance will take place on Monday, April 6th, at the Roundabout Theatre’s annual spring gala, called Take Me Back to Manhattan.
However, Brooke is not giving out any additional tidbits about her job.
She tells the New York Daily News, “I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but I can tell you I’m the only one in the show who gets to flirt. And, trust me, I flirt a lot!?”

Scientol-Tom has the big Golden Globes to attend to on Sunday in Cali because of his Supporting Role nomination for “Tropic Thunder”. On the other side of the country, Katie will be wrapping up her Broadway show “All My Sons” on Sunday as well. Hello!!!! Placenta Stew Conflict!!! Because Katie won’t be able to attend the actual awards ceremony, Tom has pleaded with Katie to hop on a plane to celebrate with him IF he does win. And of course, Stepford Kate has agreed to dash from her final Broadway performance in NYC to LA to smooch up and bow down to her old man.
Crazy Cruise told a source, “We discussed it, and she told me I should go. So I’m going to the Golden Globes with her father and my mother. She’s going to finish her show and we’ll meet at the after parties.” Well isn’t Katie’s father lucky? HA!
At any rate, I think it is safe to say that Tom is going to lose to Heath Ledger, so Kate shouldn’t have to worry.
On the other hand, if on the rare, rare chance that Tommy DOES win, it will only solidify the fact that Tommy can win if you dress him up as a bald, fat and crazy guy.
Paul Sculfor is a smart, smart man. When you are a nobody and dating an A-list starlet, it’s best to hang on to that catch at least until after the holiday season. And, Paul has managed to keep Cameron’s interest!
The lovely duo strolled through the West Village in NYC arm-in-arm, sporting similar ensembles and great big smiles. Cameron has been in the city to take in Shrek: The Musical on Broadway, while Paul has been along for the ride. Life is pretty sweet for Paul!
Now all Paul needs to do is marry Cammy and not sign a pre-nup!

NO MORE RAW FISH FOR PIVEN: After collapsing at his home, Jeremy Piven will no longer be taking part in the Broadway revival of “Speed-the-Plow”. Mr. Piven has been said to have been suffering from high levels of mercury, which created extreme fatigue and his collapse. “We have been advised by Jeremy Piven’s medical representatives that he is seriously ill and is unable to fulfill his contractual obligation to “Speed-the-Plow,’” Jeffrey Richards and the show’s other producers said in a statement. “Consequently, he has left the production 10 weeks early.”
Out to show her support for the musical adaptation of “Shrek” last night, Cameron Diaz appeared impressed with the Broadway version.
“What they do up there … is, to me, impossible,” she told The Associated Press. “It’s wonderful, though. They’ve done such a great job. They worked really hard, and it really pays off.”
So, that means we won’t be seeing Cam Cam up on the stage attempting to sing. THANK GAWD. At least there is one smart actress out there who isn’t going to torture us with trying to take on the role of actress-turned-singer. Big Kudos to Cammy! Instead you can look forward to Cam reprising her role as Princess Fiona in the fourth animated Shrek film in 2010.

Now normally if your precious baby is crying for the other parent, one’s jealous tendencies may become apparent and one may become a tad melancholy. But, in this particular instance, as Suri reaches out for Scientol-Tom, Katie seems to not really give a crap. In fact, poor Stepford Kate looks rundown and in need of one giant nap. Work is a bitch, I tell ya!
I get depressed every time I talk about Katie and her rugged life, so let’s celebrate Tom’s platform trainers. It looks as if Tommy’s sneaks make him at LEAST one and a half inches taller. And to that we give a big WHA WHAT?!!!!
