Christina Applegate isn’t going to let cancer get her down. Oh, no! She may have just gone through a double mastectomy, but Miss Applegate isn’t moping around. Christina spent yesterday at a Los Angeles nail salon getting her nails did. Take that cancer! Next up for Christina? Reconstructive surgery.

She told a source, ‘I’m going to have cute boobs ’til I’m 90, so there’s that. I’ll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I’ll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table.’

Now that’s what I call a good attitude! You go girl!

People Christina Applegate

Christina Applegate is among celebs like Kylie Minogue, Sheryl Crow, Olivia Newton John, Sopranos star Edie Falco, Anastacia and Lynn Redgrave to 100% BEAT the evil demon known as BREAST CANCER.

It is never an easy decision, but Christina told Good Morning America that she opted to permanently get rid of her ta-tas.

‘My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy.

‘So basically I had a prophylactic double mastectomies.

‘I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me.

And, despite her extreme positivity, Applegate goes on to say that it has been a very difficult situation that messed with her not only physically, but mentally as well.

She explained: ‘Sometimes, you know, I cry and sometimes I scream and I get really angry and I get really like, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes.

‘And I think that’s – it’s all part of healing, and anyone who’s going through it out there, it’s OK to cry. It’s OK to fall on the ground and just scream if you want to.’

Breast cancer sucks, but it is inspiring to know that it can be beat! Stay Strong, Christina! You are one brave chica!

Morgan Freeman In Serious Condition After Car Crash.

Monday, August 4th, 2008

First Christina Applegate is diagnosed with cancer and now Morgan Freeman gets into a serious car crash? My gawd, when it rains it pours in Hollywood-land.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams said Freeman was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima belonging to Demaris Meyer of Memphis when the car left a rural highway and flipped several times shortly before midnight Sunday.

Emergency crews pulled Freeman and his passenger Demaris Meyer from the car and airlifted them to the Regional Medical Centre in Memphis more than 100 miles from the scene of the crash.

Scary! Our prayers are with Morgan and his family. Get well, Morgan!

One small question though…WHY was Morgan Freeman driving a freakin’ 1997 NISSAN MAXIMA? Nothing against Maximas, but seriously…
