It’s been almost one year since the tragic death of Matilda Ledger’s father Heath. Man, it was such a shock to everyone, but for those closest to the young star…it was horrific. Matilda Ledger, daughter of Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger, still just a young child doesn’t quite understand why her daddy isn’t around. But, mama Michelle is doing her best to deal with Heath’s absence for the sake of her daughter. Thankfully, Matilda has been Michelle’s rock.

“Matilda never really understood what happened when he died. It was heartbreaking when she asked for daddy and Michelle had to explain that he wasn’t coming back.”

“Matilda’s a really upbeat kid who giggles all the time. That’s the one thing Michelle says will make her smile no matter what — hearing her daughter laugh.”

It has been a struggle for Michelle, but she is fighting through the grief and rebuilding her life for both her and her daughter.

“Things are getting easier, little by little, day by day. Slowly she’s come back from the shock and heartbreak.”

The Scientology Club Sticks Together!

Since the tragic death of Jett Travolta, the topic of Scientology has suddenly become a big hoo hah. And, by that I mean “topic of interest”. Granted the Travolta family lost a very special member of their family and I feel for them. What a sucky deal to lose your child!!! But, when thinking about Scientology and its members’ beliefs, isn’t it necessary to take a look at what really happened here?

Even though hindsight is 20/20, could Jett’s death been prevented? Lisa Marie Presley, a practicing Scientologist, has taken to her Myspace blog to defend her “good friends” and in a nutshell tells us all to shut up about Scientology. YIKKKKEEEES!!! Presley’s MySpace blog on Tuesday read:

Now Is Not The Time.

I wished I could be writing you under happier circumstances but I cannot because Two of my very good friends, (John and Kelly Travolta ) the sweetest people in the world have just encountered the worst possible tragedy a parent could be forced to endure, the death of their son Jett.
My heart is crying and bleeding for them.
I personally would not have it in me to bury my own child.
I am writing this because I have noticed that for the most part, people and the media have been very sympathetic and respectful, but there are those certain ones that want to use this horrible tragedy as an opportunity to once again, blame and or attack Scientology?
Folks, as popular as it has been to discriminate and ridicule Scientology and Scientologist’s in the recent past , Now is NOT the time.
I realize that there is a lot of mis information out there about the subject which has caused a lot of stone throwing but we are not still in the dark ages and it is still an Unconstitutional Injustice to partake in and encourage such condemnation.
Among most of the crazy made up garbage that goes around about it , It is not true that Scientologist’s “Don’t believe in ” medical care , medicine or medical Doctors and that may have something to do with this terrible tragedy.
Just like anyone else, If one is sick , they go to the doctor, If a medication will make it better then they take it.
If they don’t then they are an idiot and you can’t blame their religion.
Whatever medical and or physical condition Jett had , I can tell you first hand that his parents were on a tireless, never ending quest to get and provide him with the absolute best care anyone could ever ask for and need, Medically, physically, emotionally, medicinally and spiritually.
I am not writing this to preach my beliefs, I am here to protect my friends.
To the few of you out there that this may apply to,
Let’s not use the tragic death of a child to facilitate your insatiable need to attack and destroy Scientology shall we?
John and Kelly have done nothing but spend their lives and their time helping others, making people happy and making peoples lives better.
Please let this family grieve in peace.

Yes Lisa, but isn’t the issue at hand here autism? Does Scientology recognize autism as a disorder or does it not? Inquiring minds want to know! If Jett was being incorrectly treated owing to Scientology’s belief system, then I strongly believe that someone has some ’splaining to do.

What do YOU think?

John Travolta And Kelly Preston Speak Out On Their Son’s Death.

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

It’s been just a few days since 16-year-old Jett Travolta’s untimely death and now for the first time since the announcement, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are speaking out.

On John’s official website, the family issued the following statement:

“We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences. Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time that we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received so many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future.

With love, John, Kelly and Ella”

The Travolta’s home where Jett passed.

While Travolta and his family are now making funeral arrangements, the actor’s corporate and commercial attorney Michael McDermott revealed that the actor did all he could to revive his son.

“John did everything he could to keep Jett alive. There was a slight pulse so they did all they could. John tried the kiss of life for about 20 minutes. He wouldn’t give up. The paramedics took over for John when they arrived, and they continued. Jeff (nanny Jeff Kathrein) gave Jett CPR while John tried to resuscitate him.”

Now, despite my lack of love and annoyance (as many of you already know) for John Travolta, my heart still goes out to him and his family. Under no circumstance should ANY parent have to bury their child. What a heartbreaking thing to have to do!

Jett Travolta To Be Examined By Two Specialists.

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

TWO PATHOLOGISTS TO ENSURE CAREFUL AUTOPSY: Dr. Hubert Minnis, a coroner in the Bahamas, told The Associated Press that he decided to use a second specialist to guarantee a thorough assessment of what might have caused Jett Travolta’s death. Following the funeral, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston are planning on burying their son in Florida. Kelly Preston’s mom, Linda Carlson, opened up to Usmagazine.com about the Friday death of her grandson. “I am devastated. He was the light of our lives,” she said through tears. Wow, what a horrible thing this has to be for their family.

Wino Needs To Have A Chat With Corinne Bailey Rae.

Jason Rae was only 31 years old when he was found dead in his home…last March. Jason, the now deceased hubby of songbird Corinne Bailey Rae, was a world-class renowned saxophonist who had a problem with drugs and alcohol. It’s been almost a year since Jason’s death and Corinne has been grieving silently. However now Corinne is ready to speak openly about her deceased hubby.

Corinne released a statement, “He was a loyal and devoted friend. He is a faithful son and loving brother. He is very open and honest to a fault. He is not a hedonist. He is a deep thinker. My husband is my first and only true love. He is the most beautiful and complex person I have ever known. It was not unusual for Jason to drink heavily and then under the influence of alcohol seek out drugs like cocaine and ecstasy and take it as part of a night out or to keep the night going.”

Corinne went on to divulge about her husband’s experience with alcohol, “He did not believe that alcoholism was a disease over which you were powerless. He believed he could control his drinking. He was disappointed with himself but was determined this should not set him back in his progress.”

And even though Corinne said that Jason only drank a few times, he did combine the booze buzz with an indulgence in cocaine and pills…a combination that led to his untimely death.

Such a sad, sad, story. All it takes is that first time to lose your life!

Michelle Williams Still Grieving The Loss Of Ledger.

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Former Dawson’s Creek star Michelle Williams has got to be one of the classiest ladies in the entertainment business. I freakin’ love her. She doesn’t crave attention like all the other hoochies in the business and unfortunately because of her baby daddy and former lover Heath Ledger’s untimely death, she was forced into the spotlight. In her first public interview, the mention of Heath’s name brings on the waterworks.

Williams told Newsweek of her grief, “I guess it’s always changing. What else can I say? I just wake up each day in a slightly different place—grief is like a moving river, so that’s what I mean by ‘it’s always changing.”

“… At heart I’m an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse. It’s just that the more time passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That’s what I would say.”

I can’t even imagine what this girl must be feeling, but you can certainly tell that Michelle wants what is best for little Matilda and is fiercely protective of her daughter’s privacy.

“I want her to have a routine,” she said. “I want the plainest, simplest, most ordinary, habituated routine possible. I just want her know what’s coming next,” she said.

Stay strong girl!

Godspeed To Goodspeed.

There are loony tunes out there in every shape, color, size, and form. But, to be obsessed with Paula Abdul requires some serious screws to be loose up in the melon. I mean, Straight Up Now Tell Me was a piece of work that will stay in my heart forever, but good gawd, you won’t find me camped out at Paula Abdul’s castle.

Well, I’m sad to report that there ARE crazy Paula Abdul fans out there. And, one has died. Yeah, DIED, right in front of Paula Abdul’s doorstep.

A chick by the name of Paula Goodspeed has been a psychotic Paula Abdul fan for years. When her parents called the cops to declare her missing, they knew where to find her.

According to Access Hollywood, a 30-year-old woman was found dead in a parked car on the Idol judge’s Sherman Oaks, Calif. street sometime after 6 p.m. on Tuesday after the LAPD received a tip from the law enforcement in nearby Ventura County.

“Our Van Nuys division did receive a call from the Ventura County’s Sheriff,” an LAPD rep told Access. “A woman’s parents reported her missing and they thought that she may be at Paula Abdul’s house.”

There has not been an autopsy conducted, however, one thing is for certain, Paula Goodspeed is somewhere up in heaven singin’ “If you’re only playing games, I’ll just have to say–bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye”.

RIP Miss Goodspeed and Godspeed.

RIP Michael Crichton.

Jurassic Park creator and million-selling author Michael Crichton passed away on Tuesday at the age of 66.

His family stated that Michael had been privately battling cancer. So so sad.

“Through his books, Michael Crichton served as an inspiration to students of all ages, challenged scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand,” his family said in a statement.

RIP Michael. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael’s family, friends, and fans.
