LEVAR THOMAS

He’s a southern gentleman with a dream. A man with a talent for putting emotions down on paper and sounding off those words with the musical instrument he’s been given…his voice. And he knows how to use it. LeVar Thomas is a name you must take note of…write it down…take a picture of it…because let me tell you, this down-to-earth, determined, handsome and talented individual is about to take the music industry by storm one way or another. I had the pleasure of asking LeVar a few questions about his background, his dream celebrity date and his love for Stevie Wonder. Peep out the full interview below!

LeVar’s Music Here!

Danity: Let’s get to you know a little bit LeVar because when you reach fame and fortune we want to know that we have all the real details about ya straight from your mouth, dahling. So, how long have you been singing?

LeVar: I started singing on the youth choir at Silver Bluff Baptist Church at age 7.
When I was 13, I joined a group with 3 cousins and a friend from school. We sang, wrote music and performed together for about 10 years and leading up to now that makes 20 + years.

Danity: So in a few statements, how would you describe your music?

LeVar: I usually ask the listener to decide. I just grab my pen and let it flow. The two words I hear in response most are smooth and soulful. Old school soul meets positive new school vibe.

Danity: Nice, so when you say old school there must be a few legends that inspire you. Can you fill us in on who your musical influences are?

LeVar: Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder are two that rank up top. Both of them have voices that blow you away. They both have a special attention to their musical content, lyrically and vocally. Stevie Wonder I admire especially for his philanthropic approach to writing.

Danity: Love both of those men. So, LeVar, give me your story. What does your musical background consist of?

LeVar: In 2002, I found myself unhappy with my job I’d been working at for 6 years and I wasn’t singing much and I really missed it. I quit that job, took my 401K and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I figured I’d get successful in the mecca of music. I met some great musicians there who worked with and encouraged me.

After awhile, I knew I had to make some recordings to demo. I didn’t have money for studios, so I sold my first car and bought a home studio.

I started by posting cover songs on Myspace and I started getting tracks from budding producers who liked what I was doing. I also started doing videos on Youtube that went on to get Editor’s Picks and other awards. My account got shut down due to vigorous promotion..lol. Some call it spam. What can I say, I was eager.

From then on everything just snowballed. I won $10,000 in an internet talent contest called Clipstar and met my first manager who encouraged me to write, write, write. His advice paid off because my songwriting skills have grown. I’ve now been in New York for a year and the sky is the limit. I’ve already met some very interesting and interested people, have near tripled my catalog of songs and can’t wait to see what happens next!

octomom

Nadya Suleman may be like a whacked out Amy Winehouse sans the crack or the beehive and the ballet slippers, but I’d like to think that there is an ounce of good in everyone.

Sure she called 911 in a frantic effort to find her son and expressed her desire to want to kill herself, but this letter may whole-heartedly change your opinion on Nadja Suleman (or not). Read with an open mind as Octomom opens her heart in today’s bloggy blog.

RadarOnline.com was able to get their hands on the paper of emotions that uncovers Octomom’s unconditional love for her kiddies, her hopes and dreams for the future.

Check out the love letter below.

The Woman Who Got Dumped By Jesus Luz For Madge

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

jesus

When you’ve been dumped by a nobody who all of a sudden became a somebody for bumping uglies with a famous wrinkley vadge, there comes a point in time when you must speak. Twenty-year-old Krishna Siqueira used to date Jesus before he started lip-locking Madge.

“We did everything together. He is a wonderful person. A mutual friend introduced us at a party and we began dating in July 2008. We stayed together until his thing with Madonna started. We were dating and then the magazine shoot came up. Then came the story that he was with her [Madonna]. We took some time out because we imagined he was going away to live and could not continue long-distance dating. We ended up breaking up. The last time I saw him was just before he went to New York at a farewell party. We went to get something to eat. Later on, his relationship with her became more serious.”

She continues her rant…

“He was always a wonderful boyfriend. In the beginning, I was very upset. I wasn’t expecting this at all. But I managed to separate my emotions from the professional aspect. I understand his view because I want to have success as well.”

But they still speak…

“We are still friends and we still talk. So I’m not going to have fits of jealousy or try to hinder his life. I honestly didn’t want to ask for many details about it. Maybe because I am jealous. He says he is in a great phase of his life.”

Ummm yeah because he’s becoming famous? Well hopefully now she can become famous for her ex-boyfriend who just moved up to B list.

Wino Better Not Let Me Down

Winehouse Drugs, Nudity, Racism Scandal

Good gawd, please do NOT tell me Cracky is packing up her bag and heading back to the UK for some rekindling and canoodling with her husband. I know how wrong that sounds for me to say, but for Wino to try and save her marriage with freak boy Blake Fielder-Civil would be a death trap. But, apparently, the rumors may be true.

A source said, “Hearing Blake was out brought lots of emotions back for Amy. She feels like she was the last to know he was getting released and that hurt. She is desperate to see him again and wants to work things out. She still loves him.”

Even though Wino may have thoughts of patching up a whacked out marriage, Blaaaake has different thoughts. “It’s all going ahead — but I don’t really know what will happen. It’s just nice to be on the outside again. Now I am going to get over my drug habit.”

And Wino’s friends aren’t looking forward to Blake and Wino reuniting…

“We are nervous about her returning to London and seeing Blake. But I suppose if he can really quit drugs and they can have a clean, healthy relationship then we’d have to wish them luck.”

Don’t do it, Wino! No!

Jade Goody’s Glimmer Of Hope

jadegoody

Wow. What a whirlwind of emotions reality star Jady Goody must be feeling. After a weekend being in and out of the hospital and the news of the nasty c-word spreading throughout more of her body, Jade Goody has got to be feeling some major stress. However amidst all the horrifying news, there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for Miss Jade.

Just last night it was revealed that Professor Martin Gore, medical director at the Royal Marsden Hospital, told Jade he wanted to start her on Topotecan, also called Hycamtin, after the recent failing of chemotherapy. According to WebMD, Topetecan is normally given in only in advanced cases of cervical cancer and is seen as the last line of defense. The drug works by blocking an enzyme that can strengthen cancer cells, and a scan will show if the tumors are responding.

Jade’s publicist said, “People in the same situation who have taken this drug have seen encouraging results. The information that was given to her left her thinking there was no way forward. This has given her a glimmer of hope. At the end of the day she is a young woman with two children and she is going to do everything in her power to prolong her life.”

What hell to go through! But at least this drug could help Jade with her fight and keep her on earth with her boys as long as possible. Keep your head up, Jade!
