He may have some power in the wrestling ring, but David Otunga has returned to his lawyer roots. On Thursday, Jennifer Hudson’s fiance returned to the court room, representing a man who felt he was wrongly terminated from his job.

This week Otunga worked his magic, appearing before a judge on behalf of the man who was fired from his place of employment and denied unemployment benefits. The end result? A big fat win for David and his client. They won the case against the New York State Department of Labor and received compensation.

Here’s hoping that Otunga will have the same good luck as he prepares to enter the ring this weekend at the wrestling world’s Royal Rumble. Otunga told TMZ, “If the outcome of the case is any indication of how I’ll do in the Royal Rumble this weekend, then it looks like I’ll be the winner.” True!
