Julia Roberts is back on the big screen in an adaptation of the book Eat, Pray, Love. Now while the book wasn’t as fabulous (in my opinion) as Oprah made it to be, I did read it and I am excited to see America’s old sweetheart taking on the role as the lead character of Elizabeth Gilbert’s hit book.
On her website, Gilbert says, “There is something surreal” about seeing her memoir being turned into a movie, “but then again, there has been something surreal about ‘Eat Pray Love’ from the beginning. I have never entirely understood the rocket-like trajectory of that book, and so — with the movie as with all of it — I stand back, amazed, watching it all unfold and wondering at this strange turn of destiny.”

More drama for Madonna as a dagger gets thrown in the path of her adoption fight for 3-year-old Mercy.
Let me put it this way…the sepia must not have worked for Madge…at least not in Mr. James Kambewa’s mind, anyhow. Kambewa, Mercy’s father is on a mission to make sure Madge does NOT get her hands on his daughter.
Last night, Mr. Kambewa insisted that HE could give his daughter a better home than Madge. Whaaaaaa?!
“She is my daughter; she is my blood; she needs parental love. She is not an orphan. She lost one parent, yes, but I am still alive and so she is not an orphan. Madonna has millions of dollars but that doesn’t make her a good mum. Parental love is more than money. Besides, I don’t think Madonna is a model mum. I have seen her in movies of her songs. She doesn’t portray good morals.
“How can a woman of 50 dance almost naked on stage? I wouldn’t want my daughter to grow up like that! In Malawi women respect themselves. Cultured women do not go about half-naked. I also heard after her marriage failed she is already seeing two men, both very younger than her and her ex-husband. I hear one of them is even less than half her age. That’s scandalous. How can a normal woman fall for a boy who can as well be her son? No, spare my Mercy that scandal.”
Ohhhh snap! That papa sure has a mouth on him…especially for a man who never really spent any time with his daughter at all.

It looks like Travis McCoy is hot once again. Katy Perry has officially decided to give her relationship with the Gym Class Heroes front man one more go. Perhaps spending a little time with Rihanna had a little somethin’ to do with the reconciliation?
McCoy says, “The break-up sucked. We’re back together now. I keep thinking about if I had to go through it again and how shitty it would be. We were moving way too fast. I was being juvenile about the entire thing.”
And supposedly things are fabulous between Travis and Katy. Travis says, “Now it’s easy breezy. I’m happy and really in love.”
Mmmmhmmm…until you turn “cold” again, Mr. McCoy.

While you may be thinking that Kate Moss is all serious and lovey dovey with her man Jamie Hince, think again. Home girl isn’t as innocent and as “in love” as you may presume. In fact, we got word that Kate Moss has allegedly cheated on her rocker boyfriend with ANOTHER rocker.
The bassist, Eve Berlin, from the Living Things is rumored to have had a fling with the supermodel. And get this…the claims are coming from Eve’s own brother (Lillian) as he apparently WALKED in on Kate and Eve doing the nasty!
Lillian told The Sun, “Walking in on my brother and Kate Moss with their clothes off, that was very awkward. I don’t like to look at my brother naked. Between my brother being naked and seeing Kate Moss naked with my brother, that was very awkward.”
Ummm yeah very awkward! But not as awkward as it is going to be for Kate to explain this tryst to her man Jamie. Oh to be a fly on the wall!

Jennifer Hudson made a fabulous return to American Idol last night, performing “If This Isn’t Love”. Even though the performance was pre-recorded a month ago, home girl looked great and sounded just as amazing.
Jennifer is currently on tour with sexy soul crooner Robin Thicke.

Well, not exactly…BUT since Pink and Carey Hart decided to rekindle their love by giving their marriage another try, they are said to be talking about renewing their marriage vows.
A friend reveals, “They want to have a ceremony at their house in Malibu on the beach at sunset. It will take place in early summer and will be very simple and small, with just their family and a few close friends.”
Another source says, “They are very happy and spending a lot of time together. They broke up because of their busy careers, but they never stopped loving each other. They’ve always had a bond, but they needed time apart to realize that they wanted to continue their marriage.”
Good for them! It’s so refreshing to see a celebrity couple TRY to make things work, rather than just throwing in the towel. We wish them the best!

Sure, Jenny McCarthy may have lost a lot of freakin’ pounds to show off a stunning figure on the cover of Shape magazine, but good gawd that body could not have been real, could it?
Jenny McCarthy comes clean and admits yep…the cover was altered and the photo is not real.
Jen recently spoke about the cover saying, “It’s eating healthy and also a crap load of airbrushing… I keep myself in very good shape… but it is definitely a little touched up. I have freckles… and stretchmarks that you do not see here, and they add a little shadowing to make these muscle things happen that don’t exist on my body.”
However, Jen does reveal a little secret on how she does stay trim and youthful looking…a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
“It is an awesome thing… It treats inflammation, it prevents cancer neurological disorders… It’s gonna be imperative for everyone one day… There are rentals… It’ll cost you $50 for a session. It actually detoxes you and jet-lag, it helps with that… It’s just like a tanning spa.”
Even her boyfriend Jim Carrey is a fan!
“Jim goes in all the time. I got him hooked. He said, ‘I thought you were crazy, Jenny, and then I tried it and I can’t believe how much better I feel.’”
Ok, that thing looks kind of creepy if you ask me, but whatever works! I just know you wouldn’t catch me in that machine.

Desperate times call for drastic and fantastic measures! R&B singer/songwriter The-Dream had a plan whipped up for his hit song “My Love”. Before he even had the best singer in the whole world, Mariah Carey, to help him with the duet, he flapped his trap saying that having MC work on his song was already in the works.
Apparently he had the song written with Mariah in mind, but he didn’t know for sure if Mariah or her record label would even approve of the collaboration. Whoa…bad ass!
He tells XXL magazine, “I wrote that record and immediately thought, this is a great record for me and Mariah, if she wants to do it. The next morning I had an interview, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I got Mariah on this record called My Love’ – knowing damn well I hadn’t even asked her to get on it. L.A. (Reid) was like, ‘What the hell is he talking about?’ But they called M.C. (Carey), and she got the record and was like, ‘I f**kin’ love it.’ I’m like, ‘My hunch was right, I just spoke it into existence’.”
Holy crap. How freakin’ brilliant! He may be a big fat liar, but he definitely is making some big bucks off this duet.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Telling a fiblet could get you a duet with Mariah Carey.
