Madonna called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to chat about her Superbowl performance among other things including her upcoming single “Girls Gone Wild”. What we really wanted to know is what she thought about M.I.A. flipping her middle finger during a family event that aired on a national network. I mean, come on…it’s not like Madge would ever do such a thing. Right?
Let’s just say that Madge wasn’t thrilled. She told Seacrest, “I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…there was such a feeling of love and unity there what was the point? It was just out of place.”
Hmmm. Isn’t this kind of like pot calling the kettle black? I love Madge and all but it’s not like Madge hasn’t done anything for shock value. Or is it okay to expect something like that from Madge and not her cohorts? Bitch, puhlease.
Anyhow…moving on…so while she rocked some gladiator motifs during her Superbowl performance, don’t expect her to wear those ensembles for her upcoming world tour. Madge explains, “Oh god no! I don’t want to repeat myself. I never do that! I am having auditions all next week. Then I’m going to shoot the video for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ after that, then I start rehearsals.”
As for those rumors that Britney will be teaming up with her on the upcoming single “Girls Gone Wild”? ”No, it’s just little ol’ me.”
