Yet Another “Dancing With The Stars” Injury

On Monday night’s “Dancing With The Stars”, it my have seemed like Lil’ Kim was getting her groove on flawlessly. But, what we recently found out is that Lil’ Kim was dancing with an injury.

Lil’ Kim told In Touch magazine about dancing the encore dance on Monday night’s show. “It was fun but a little nerve wracking. I have a small injury, well it’s not small, but I popped my rib out earlier this week and ripped one of the muscles under my rib. I didn’t know.”

When Lil’ Kim paid a visit to the show’s masseuse she found that her soreness was not just the usual aches from hours of dance practice. “She said, ‘honey you have a rib out, and you tore one of your muscles. She had to push it back in and it hurt so bad. I was dancing through the pain.”

The advice she was given? To ice the injury and rest. Ha!

Kim’s response? “There is no time to relax. We have to learn the jive and it’s really energetic – what do I do?”

Kim’s partner Derek Hough has enough time to change up the dance routine for Monday night’s performance. “He’ll use a plan B when it comes to the choreography. And whether I am comfortable or not I have to do it. I’m excited for the dance, but the injury has me a little nervous.”

Well, I’m thinking everyone is on an equal playing field now, aren’t they? Oh wait…Melissa isn’t injured…yet. Knock on wood.

Natasha Bedingfeld’s Not-So-Sexy Proposal

As a female when you get a proposal, you expect it to be straight out of a Harlequin novel. Am I not right, ladies? Ok, so maybe not a Harlequin novel, but you expect it to be well-planned and damn good. Natasha Bedingfield’s husband tried to make it good, but he didn’t have a Plan B. Remember what we said about Plan B’s? Yeah, exactly.

Instead of a romantic boat ride proposal, Natasha got a boat ride filled with thunder, lightening and rain…and lots of it.

On a lake in New York’s Central Park back in September, Natasha’s man did not check the Weather Channel or listen to Al Roker’s forecast because their engagement happiness was dampened by heavy rain.

Natasha dishes on her not-so-sexy proposal moment to Hello magazine. “We went out on the lake in a boat and the sky got darker and darker. He said such beautiful things. It was just like in a movie. My dress was completely drenched. And he had that beautiful ring that he picked out himself. We were yelling, ‘I love you’ at each other in the rain.”

Oh well, they’ll have a pretty wicky wild story to tell their children and grandchildren one day, right?

Lucky, lucky, lucky ducky! Brooke Shields is no dummy! She knew she needed to have a backup plan…JUST IN CASE…her show Lipstick Jungle went off the air. And, now that she officially received the heave-ho, Brooke has some news of her own…she’s heading to Broadway, bitches!

Brooke is set to star in a one-off production opposite Nathan Lane and Jane Krakowski.

According to a source, Shields will be heading back to work with a part in a one-night-only revival of 1930s-inspired musical Pal Joey. The performance will take place on Monday, April 6th, at the Roundabout Theatre’s annual spring gala, called Take Me Back to Manhattan.

However, Brooke is not giving out any additional tidbits about her job.

She tells the New York Daily News, “I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but I can tell you I’m the only one in the show who gets to flirt. And, trust me, I flirt a lot!?”

Congrats to Brooke!

See peeps, it’s always good to have a PLAN B and in case Plan B doesn’t work, you better have a plan C!
