What I’m Diggin’: Prince “Crimson And Clover”

Prince is ballsy to cover a classic hippy song like “Crimson and Clover”, but Prince? He’s a freakin’ genius. That is all.

Prince Dedicates A Song To Salma On His Latest Album

prince

Either Prince needs to be breastfed or he has a thing for married women. The five foot (and some change) tall crooner has dedicated a song from his brand spankin’ new album to his crush Salma Hayek.

The track is said to be on the disc MPLSoUND and is addressed to Valentina, Salma’s 17-month-old kiddie poo.

In the chorus Prince sings, “Hey, Valentina, tell your mama she should give me a call/ When she gets tired of running after you down the hall.”

Oooooo, a verse written especially for Salma? That is freakin’ hot. I must admit Prince is pretty damn sexy for a little dude. I mean come on…how could you not want to be serenaded by freakin’ Roger Nelson?!!!!

Miley’s Best Friend Was A Cheese Sandwich

mileybook

At just 16, Miley Cyrus has lived a lot. Doesn’t she seem so wise beyond her years? Ummm..don’t answer that. But rather, embrace it as you read what Miley has to say in her autobiography “Miles To Go” because you KNOW you want to read about how Miley was bullied in sixth grade and who Miley refers to as her Prince Charming. Check out a few pieces of Miley’s writing (with the help of a ghostwriter) below.

ON BEING BULLIED:

“The girls took it beyond normal bullying. These were big, tough girls. I was scrawny and short. They were fully capable of doing me bodily harm. It seemed like Operation Make Miley Miserable was escalating to a new level. More like Operation Take Miley Down. Three girls strutted up and stood towering over me. My stomach churned. I clutched my grilled cheese sandwich like it was the hand of my best friend. It pretty much was my best friend those days. I was done for.

They started cussing me and telling me to get up. I sat there, frozen. I didn’t know what to do. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I wasn’t chicken. What could they do to me? I was surrounded by people. I stood up, still a foot shorter then they were, and said: ‘What’s your problem? What did I ever do to you?’”

Shoot. That sucks. Bullying is NOT cool, but I hate to say it but I blame Billy Ray for this one. He is the one who sported that fabulously hick-like mullet back in the day.

ON WHAT WENT WRONG WITH PRINCE CHARMING (Nick Jonas):

“Deep down I know we weren’t being our best selves. And that was what I wanted – and thought I deserved – in a relationship.”

Prince, Coachella’s Royalty.

It doesn’t matter where Prince performs, he is the shiznit. Royalty. Legendary.

This weekend Prince performed at the 9th Annual Coachella Festival in California. Rumor has it he was paid $4.8 million to fill the most prominent spot on the Coachella festival roster. Damn, that’s a nice paycheck.

Prince did roll out some of his hottest hits including, “1999″, “Purple Rain”, “Little Red Corvette”, and my favorite, “Let’s Go Crazy”. And, the crowd did GET NUTS!

I can about imagine, considering this more than likely was a weekend for booze hounds, UNO games, and sloppy dance moves.

Other bands that played Coachella included Jack Johnson, Fatboy Slim, Death Cab For Cutie, Dwight Yoakam and more.

Was Rhianna feeling inspired?

Rhianna gave up the S & M gear for more conservative ensembles for a few of her U.S. concert dates.  Proceeds from these shows will benefit her charity, The Believe Foundation.  The Believe Foundation helps children who are less fortunate – by providing medical attention, school supplies to kids in poorly funded schools, toys and clothes.

Kudos to Rhianna!  Chris Brown must be having a positive affect on RiRi.
