James Cameron
isn’t a dummy, but Titanic in 3D? Will that be a big draw? Probably. After ten years of the successful movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, James Cameron has decided to bring the hit movie back to the big screen, but in 3D. So yes, that means we will be able to watch Titanic go down in 3D.

Kate Winslet Loves Her Naked Self!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009 by: Danity

Kate Winslet is one of the most famous actresses in the world, however Kate is also one of the most outspoken actresses as well. Ask her a question and home girl will not beat around the bush…that’s our ! In the June issue of Marie Claire’s UK magazine, Kate dishes on life growing up as a , aging and losing her first love. Check out some of the highlights of the interview below.

ON GETTING OLD AND WRINKLY:

I don’t mind the way I’m ageing…. I think I look my age, and that’s fine. I don’t think I look younger than 33 and I don’t think I look particularly older than 33. I think I’m sort of holding it together.

ON BEING HER “HEAVIER” IN HER EARLY CAREER:

Things happened in quick succession between the ages of 19 and 22. No wonder I blew up like a . Remember those days? I think it was the Golden Globe year for Titanic, and I was on a red carpet and somebody showed me a picture and I was like, “Fuck, I was enormous.” I don’t particularly remember sitting at home crying and eating endless packets of HobNobs. I don’t remember doing that at all. Honestly, I think it was a stress thing or something. I don’t know.

ON LOSING HER FIRST LOVE:

It’s just awful. And I am the age now that he was when he died, so it’s a big shock. If you lose somebody like that, you never really get over it; you just learn to manage it and live with it. I’m not particularly religious or spiritual, but I do feel him around a , going, ‘You’re all right. Don’t worry.’ Which is amazing.

ON HER NAKEDNESS IN “THE READER”:

I do think it’s important for young women to know that magazine covers are retouched. People don’t really look like that. In films I might look glamorous, but I’ve been in hair and make-up for two hours; someone’s been lighting a scene for three hours. With the nudity in The Reader, for example, even I was like, “Damn, I look good.” And that was the lighting – it was a bit of body make-up. I don’t believe in pretending those things don’t go on.

ON CRAVING THAT OSCAR WIN:

There’s nothing bloody wrong with wanting it at all. And anyone who says, “Oh, I don’t know, oh, I’m on the fence…” it’s absolute crap. Of course they want it, deep down. Of course they do.

Kate Winslet Ain’t No Angelina!

Saturday, January 17th, 2009 by: Danity

She is one of the most talented actresses in the industry today. She’s brutally honest and speaks her mind when necessary. Kate Winslet freakin’ rocks. Since her big onscreen success with one of the most successful films in history (“Titanic”), Kate Winslet has since been nominated for FIVE Oscars but hasn’t yet won one. But there is no doubt in my mind that this year could definitely be THE year Kate will take home at least one golden statue for her roles in either the “Reader” or her role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in “”. Ask David Hasselhoff or even Sharon Osbourne…the bitch has got ! Her work speaks for itself…

WHY KATE IS PULLING AN “ANGELINA”:

Acting is great, I love it, but it’s bloody hard work, incredibly time-consuming and really challenging. Since my son was born, I’ve played a lot of very demanding parts, and you get to a certain point where you just need a break. I want to be a mum – not a mum who’s at work all the time.

HOW SHE MANAGES HER CAREER AND MOTHERHOOD:

It’s a lot to juggle: to be the wife that you want to be to your husband, to be the mother that you need to be to your kids – to do the school run every day and be there for all the crucial moments of their growing-up – and also to be able to do a job like acting, which demands so much of your emotional self, and to be able to give yourself to it wholeheartedly.

I think how it works for me, like for any working mother, is you just get really good at compartmentalizing. My kids will always be at the forefront of my brain anyway, and when I’m with them they are my absolute priority.

ON WORKING WITH HER HUBBY ON THE SET:

It was incredible to see Sam in action and watch how he worked with the other actors, not just me. He’s a marvelous teacher, and adapts himself around the needs of every actor, because we’re all different.

Both Leo and I are very quick, very, ‘Okay, tell me what you need – good idea, I’ve got it.’ But he was gentler with Kathy Bates (who plays a smaller part in the film), because she is a very gentle person and needs to be guided a little. She’s fairly close in age to Sam’s mother, and he became almost like a son to her. It was a lovely thing to see. He’s a wonderful director.

ON SAM AND WHETHER HE GETS JEALOUS OF HER ON-SCREEN SEXY TIME:

Of course not. I’m not a porn star. I’m not walking out there and having sex with other people for my job. He’s more concerned that I feel comfortable, and making sure I feel the love scene is justified.

I’ve done a lot of nudity in films and I feel very fortunate that, each time, the scene has been relevant and has actually enhanced the story. Sam has supported me in all of that, and has always felt the same way.

WHY SHE IS GLAD SHE ISN’T ANGELINA JOLIE:

Although I don’t know them, I do think about their situation. They’re like a walking soap opera, and the public wants to know what’s going to happen next. I didn’t choose this profession because I wanted to be famous. I come from a family of actors, who have often struggled, so I always thought I’d be lucky if I even got a job.

I’m grateful for my success because of the freedom it’s given me as an actress. The downside is how much more publicly available you become. I don’t want Mia or Joe to think being famous is about wearing beautiful dresses – if you’re on a red carpet and wearing a fabulous frock, it’s the result of years of hard graft.

What A Difference Ten Years Makes!

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 by: Danity

then

Ten years ago, we laughed, we cried and we swooned over the on-screen love affair between Kate and Leonardo when they starred in the box-office record-setting “Titanic”. We were also introduced to the chest-pounding fabulousness that Celine Dion debuted when she performed “My Heart Will Go On”. It was a memorable time for us all. (Although I must admit, that chest-pounding action still haunts me in my dreams at night.)

And even though it has been awhile, an onscreen reunion of Leonardo and Kate was inevitable. Their onscreen chemistry is magical. How can you forget that steamy car scene in “Titanic”? Ummm…yeah….HOT-NESS!

now

Last night the dazzling duo sported a cleaner, more glamorous presence on the red carpet at the “” premiere in Los Angeles. These two look HOT!!! The cholo look really didn’t do much for Kate back then. We’re glad she got her lipstick shade figured out!

Leo And Kate Should Be Married.

Sunday, December 14th, 2008 by: Danity

leo

It’s one of those pairings that you wish was a real-life love affair, but unfortunately (with all due respect to Kate’s hubby Sam Mendes) it ain’t happenin’. It became evident to me when Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio starred in “Titanic” that these day had it for each other. Their chemistry was explosive. I mean, c’mon. That hanging on the end of the ship with their arms wrapped around each other and pretending they were “kings of the world” was phenomenal.

Leo and Kate sat down together with Entertainment Weekly to dish about their new film together (“”), their relationship, and their A-list status. Here are a few of the highlights from the interview.

On Reuniting On The Big Screen After Ten Years:

LEO: Over the years, I would find myself stopping and saying, ”I don’t know if we should do this again.” And then I’d think, ”What are you, an idiot? Why wouldn’t I want to work with the best actress of her generation? Am I going to be prejudiced against a project just because Kate’s in it?” I think we both had been actively looking for something else to do together, but we fundamentally knew that we couldn’t tread on any sort of similar territory.

On The Newfound Fame After “Titanic”:

KATE: I look back on that time now and I remember thinking, ”I’m doing okay, I’m absolutely fine. My life hasn’t changed. I won’t let it! I can just walk to the grocery store and buy milk in my pajamas still. Ahhhh, right, no, I can’t. I have no idea what the hell is going on or how I’m supposed to deal with suddenly having 10 paparazzi there. Oh, okay, ohhhh, I get it. Anonymity, that’s gone.” I look back and think, ”Jesus, I was seriously ill-equipped emotionally to be able to cope with all of that stuff.”

LEO: You never get used to it. Post-Titanic, it was more intense than anyone our age has ever dealt with in the history of…anything. It was the modern era of media and paparazzi where they’re organized, with multiple SUVs following you around. I didn’t know it would at the time, but it has way calmed down in my life.

On Whether Leo Thought Kate Was The One “Who Got Away”:

KATE: Say it!
LEO: [With a weary groan] We’ve always been completely platonic.

Excuse me…ummm…Tori? Let me be frank with you. You’ve got a little somethin’ wrong with your chest there…You may not be returning to 90210, but you NEED to return to your plastic surgeon and get that implant fixed, girl!

Blech. Your chest is sinking deeper and deeper and faster than the Titanic did in 1912. Either get that shiznit fixed or stay outta public. It’s nasty. It’s wrong. And, it’s sickening. Tori, you’ve got the bucks. Get the shizzz fixed! Pretty please?
