Reports have been swirling that Tracy Morgan was hospitalized after a fall at the Sundance Film Festival and the reason being has been much talked about. While many reports are saying that Morgan got a tad drunk, Tracy’s camp is telling us all to hold up a minute. Don’t blame it on the booze!

The NY Daily News is saying that

Sources at the Park City, Utah, film festival tell us there were no signs that Morgan was drinking at the ceremony or at any of the hot spots in town prior to the health scare.

A source who participated in the AT&T-sponsored Creative Coalition event says Morgan “didn’t have one lick of alcohol” from the moment he arrived at the event, adding that the comic was not feeling well when he arrived on the red carpet.

There also were no reports of Morgan going to any of the nightspots that cater to festivalgoers, including Bing Bar, Tao, Park City Live and Grey Goose Blue Door.

Shocking, I know, right? So perhaps the once wild rant filled booze hound has laid off the goofy juice?

Here’s more from the “source”, “As soon as he walked in the door, he had to sit down,” says the source, who explains that Morgan’s handlers “had to pull out a stool, so he could sit down to the right of the carpet. Because of the altitude and his diabetes, they said he had a fever.”

That totally could have happened. It doesn’t always have to be booze, does it?

To get to the awards ceremony, Morgan also had to climb “a really long staircase,” says the insider, “and there was a person on each side of him holding him up.” The source added that Morgan seemed “a little out of it” but “sick, not drunk.”

“You could tell he was going to pass out,” says the source. “People kept asking him if he was all right.”

Well he obviously wasn’t. So will we REALLY know what happened? Probably not. At any rate, we do hope that Morgan is feeling better.

It can’t be pleasant to be feeling like crap at an event that is supposed to be fun, alcohol-induced or not.
