Ahhh, Usher’s divorce is getting fabulously exciting. Or not. But, remember that nasty little car keying that his soon-to-be ex Tameka Raymond did to Usher’s car in Atlanta? (Yeah I know, something straight out of a Carrie Underwood song, right?) Well now we get to hear that lovely little 911 call that Usher made on that fateful day.

While Usher hasn’t completely disappeared off the face of the Earth. Thank gawd. In fact, Usher is joining a big fat fight…for malaria in Africa.
Apparently Usher has teamed up with the United Nations Foundation to launch the Nothing But Nets campaign, urging underprivileged youths to become more pro-active and make a difference in global issues.
Usher says, “I am proud to be a part of an exciting partnership with the United Nations Foundation and its Nothing But Nets campaign. This initiative sends an important message: youth, regardless of their backgrounds, can make a difference in this world by taking action through service to save lives. Anyone can make a difference. All it takes is $10 to send a net and save a life.”

With community service and volunteerism on the agenda for Barack Obama, the message is clear…(help your freakin’ neighbor, bitches) and man, that message came loud and clear for R & B crooner Usher (or either that he is just trying to get on Obama’s “good” side). The Big U-S-H-E-R gave some of his time to roll up his sleeves and do just that.
Usher brought a drill, a screwdriver, some nails, some paint and his fresh style to assist some grade-schoolers and other volunteers to repaint walls and build two libraries at Simon Elementary School in southeast D.C. Work it, Ursher! I didn’t even know he had a tool kit…I’m darn impressed! The question is…did he actually work or is this just a buttered-up photo op?
“You notice that I’m not focusing on the [Inaugural] celebration, I’m focusing on the work, because that’s what it’s about.” Yeah and maybe brown-nosing the brand spankin’ new President due to having ulterior motives?
“Based off of what I know about Michelle and what I’ve seen from Barack, Sasha and Malia are going to grow up to be two incredible, beautiful young ladies…that my sons will marry!” Ursher…you are one sly fox. Good luck with that.

Never heard of The Dream until now? Well, he can thank divalicious Mariah Carey for officially making his name known. For you music buffs out there, you may know The Dream as Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Terius Youngdell Nash. Dream has written for many A-list musicians including most notably J. Holiday’s “Bed”, Usher’s “Moving Mountains”, Yung Joc’s “Coffee Shop” and Jesse McCartney’s “Leavin”. He also co-wrote Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”, Ciara’s “High Price”, along with over 20 songs from her album Fantasy Ride, and took part in co-writing a majority of Mary J. Blige’s 2007 Growing Pains album, including the smash hit “Just Fine”. AND, he wrote Rihanna’s Grammy-nominated “Umbrella”. So, blame him Dream for getting that “ella ella ella” shiznit stuck in your head for days.
As you can see, Dream isn’t just some geek off the street! And now, he’s trying to make his mark as a singer.
Listen to The Dream Ft. Mariah with his new track called “My Love”, which will be featured on his album “Love vs. Money” to be released on February 17.
After listening to it, what do ya think?
He may now be a family man, but Usher is still a major player…in the music industry and on the charts, that is.
It is predicted that Usher will debut at number one with his new album release titled, “Here I Stand”. He will officially beat out Mariah’s debut day release of 154,000 copies sold, but beat MC on the weekly sales chart? Highly UNLIKELY.
There is one slight problem…Usher could have made himself a considerably LARGER amount of dough. It has been reported that Usher’s album was downloaded ILLEGALLY 500,000 times BEFORE it was even released.
Dang. That sucks BIG TIME!
