The sweet and simple Taylor Swift stopped by ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show”on Wednesday, May 11th to premiere her newest single The Story of Us and she talks to Ellen about how she handles living in the public eye. We’ve got the highlights below.
ON HOW SHE HANDLES THE BALANCE OF LIVING IN THE PUBLIC EYE:
Ellen: So how old are you, 21?
Taylor: Yeah.
Ellen: 21. So imagine going through relationships when you’re that age and what that’s like, much less in the public eye. Everybody gets to see pictures because everyone gets pictures, you know, paparazzi catches you with somebody. We get to see all these things happen but there are also feelings and all kinds of weird stuff that happened that you’re feeling. And you’re living it out in front of us. It’s got to be hard.
Taylor: I think it’s just obnoxious if I complain about anything…I hear people talk about like, oh, the intrusions on my privacy. It’s like there are a million other jobs you could have had. And for me, I’ve just come to an acceptance of the fact, this is my life. If somebody wants to hide a relationship or has privacy issues then we don’t have the same viewpoint. For me, it’s just like live your
life. If people happen to take picture then you know, you laugh about it in the car afterwards.
