It was a day to bid farewell to the one, the only…divalicious Jade Goody. While many tears were shed, many smiles and laughs were also shared at the reality star’s funeral. However, the most touching was the moment Jade’s husband Jack Tweed said goodbye to Jade with a special poem. Jack struggled to hold back the tears, but the poem expressed quite well the relationship he had with Jade.

“If Only”
If only I could stop the clock and turn back the hands of time
To that moment in a crowded room when your eyes looked into mine
If only I could walk once more on a sandy beach with you
Holding hands with Bob and Fred, the way we used to do
If only I could lie again, in the warmth of your embrace
To feel your tender kisses, and breath upon my face
You were always there beside me, through the laughter and the tears
You’ve made me feel so special, and soothed away my fears.
I have asked God to give me strength to face the days alone
To help me heal my broken heart and mend my shattered soul.
My life will never be the same without you by my side
Grief almost too much to bear and difficult to hide
But when we look into the sky for the brightest star above
Bobby me and Freddie, will send you all our love.
Awww, that is so sweet. In addition to a poem, Jade’s publicist, Max Clifford spoke. “When we left the house it was cloudy and overcast. As we moved forwards the sun started to come through and that is what in many ways Jade’s life was like.”
Thousands of people lined the streets to say farewell and as Jade’s hearse made its way to the church, well-wishers threw flowers.
Max Clifford added, “It is very much the way she wanted it. She will have a big smile on her face when she sees what is going on today.”
RIP Jade. Your smile and your spirit will live on!
