Sure, there are plenty of naughty and offensive jokes out there regarding Tiger Woods and his highly publicized uncontrollable one-eyed willy, but there is nothing better than the most controversial element of surprise that PETA brings to us each and every time they put out an ad. And this holds true with their latest ad featuring the Tiger himself.
You know the saying goes “bad publicity is better than no publicity”. Now while that saying may hold true for peeps like Heidi Montag and her hideous boob implants, the Tiger Woods PETA ad (see above) just may be not the right type of publicity Woods needs out there, especially on a billboard.
But PETA’s Virginia Fort claims that erecting a billboard with Tiger and the message that would display “Too much sex can be a bad thing … for little tigers too. Help keep cats (and dogs) out of trouble: Always spay and neuter!” is all in good fun.
Fort says, “It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek approach. We hope these billboard companies will understand. The world has been transfixed on Tiger’s life after Thanksgiving. We’re putting the focus where it needs to be. We’re sure Tiger will appreciate our attempt — from a story that’s distracted the world and followed Tiger — to turn it into something positive for little tigers.”
Yes, I must admit it is pretty clever…and offensive. And while we may find Tiger’s 29292848 alleged affairs offensive, cheap and whorish (and yes men can be hos), Tiger is said to not be so thrilled with PETA’s ad.
According to TMZ.com,
PETA may pull their plans to post the ad, explaining, “In light of conversations we have had with Mr. Woods’ attorneys, plans to run our billboard are on hold at this time.”
Awwwww, come on!
