While drama may be tabloid fun, at the moment it looks like Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise may avoid a divorce court battle. TMZ reports that Tom and Katie have called a temporary truce while the two negotiate a full divorce settlement.
Sources familiar with the situation say there are absolutely no immediate plans for court from either side. There is no court hearing on Monday (or the next day or the next.) Unless, of course, the negotiations fall apart.
Apparently the lawyers are currently negotiating child custody, visitation, child support and a property settlement.
And, contrary to reports, the settlement in its entirety could be ratified in New York if all goes well without a move by Team Tom to transfer the case to California, where judges are more likely to bo award joint custody.
So far, one source says the emotional state of the negotiations as “calm”….
