Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes snub Oscars
Apparently, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are not of the understanding that imitation is the highest form of flattery, because they are apparently so OMG upset that they are willing to ditch the Oscars next month.
The Oscars, as ya’ll know, will be hosted by the lovely Anne Hathaway, who just happened to host Saturday Night Live in November, where she just happened to do a skit poking fun of Katie. Wait, are they really so butt-hurt over a SNL skit that they’d rather not attend than see Anne? REALLY?
According to the Daily Mail the answer is a resounding, “yes.”
A Hollywood source dishes:
“Tom and Katie don’t want to have to cross paths with Anne. They used to be friends and took Anne to a Tina Turner concert in 2008 when Anne split up from her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.
Katie feels they were really supportive at a difficult time so she feels let down that Anne took to national TV to make fun of her. Anne didn’t even warn her it was going to be on TV.”

The whole thing just consisted of Anne doing the whole Joey Potter/Katie Holmes talk out of the side of your mouth whilst sighing thing along with her incessant need to tuck her hair behind her ear.
The source adds that “the whole thing has left a sour taste with Tom.”
You know, I could understand if it were in any way harsh, but it was a classic impersonation- and a dang good one too. It was taking things that Katie Holmes does and exaggerating them. Hardly anything that would require a “warning” call before the show aired.
This has taught me that taking someone to a concert equals totes besties and it doesn’t take much to piss off TomKat. Noted.
